Lilith fair, Bill Graham, Mickey Hart of the Grateful dead... this sounds like it will be an awesome show! Some of the magic from the old days with the bright new stars of today, I feel that something is in the air here, a return to the great tradition of fun concerts for everyone with great artists working together. One question though: is this going to start in the US or is europe going to be on the list of venues as well? There would certainly be a market for it, MTV europe will do very well. Looking forward to hearing more about this, Molly >From: bambysarah@angelfan.com >To: trailer-park@smoe.org >Subject: MTV.com story >Date: 3 May 2000 00:12:44 -0700 > >Someone posted this on the Sarah McLachlan newsgroup and mailing list... > >Date: Tue, 2 May 2000 18:08:53 -0500 >From: Katie Wickliffe  >Subject: Lilith Co-Founder Proposes TV Series, Tour >To: fte@smoe.org  >------------------------------------------------------ > >I found this article over at MTV.com > >Lilith Co-Founder Proposes TV Series, Tour > >Marty Diamond, the agent who helped create the Lilith Fair tour with >Sarah McLachlan and manager Terry McBride, is shopping a proposal for a >Lilith-inspired TV show and associated tour based on mixed genders, >genres, and spontaneous collaborations. > >The working title of the proposed monthly cable program and mini-tour >series is "The Living Room," and British electro-folk songstress Beth >Orton is under discussion as the possible host. > >Diamond told MTV News that the Lilith Fair's penchant for spontaneous >onstage collaborations was his inspiration, along with his time spent >working for legendary promoter Bill Graham.
