Does anyone like using the phrasing NAT for Natalie related topics and NON-NAT for off-topic chatter? How many of us are there? Is Natalie just the cutest thing you ever did see? How much licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop? Is she touring this fall/winter? Is she touring now? How many Aussies on the list? How many Americans? How many others? Doesn't anybody ever post to this list? Yes, I did hear that it's not as great as the EDA list, I never expected it to be, but this is ridiculous! There has to be something, ANYTHING you can post on this list dang it! Maybe I can feed you peoples out there some ideas. I mean, come on, get this thing off the ground! If we all just push and shove a little, this thing will take off. What are you people doing not posting things!? Okay, so here's something I can say: I absolutely love Natalie Imbruglias's album. I love the way the music sounds like a unique blend of techno and even rock and stuff I can't even recognize! The lyrics mean many deep things to me and they're so powerful! The songs say exactly what I want them to say and that touches and inspires me. I'm addicted to many of the songs, especially "Big Mistake" and "Don't You Think". DYT(Don't You Think) basicly says that hey, there's more important things than just caring about yourself, because if that's all you do, you're selfish. She's in some ways like Jewel, but she's more direct and tougher in her lyrics and I really enjoy what she has done in putting this thing together. Okay, peoples, here's some ideas to post about. What is the correct way of pronouncing her last name? Is the "g" pronounced or is it silent? I've heard it pronounced both ways. Anybody know? Also, in what ways has Natalie inspired you/ why you like her music? What meanings do you get out of her songs? Anybody on this list from Australia? You probably know a whole lot of good stuff that us U.S. people have no clue about. Tell us about the show she used to or still is acting in. Is she going to tour in the U.S.? Come on people, post! Come on! Everybody who gets this message today just post one little thing so we all can see it and believe me it will all add up! If we work togetther, we'll get this off the ground and this list could be really cool! ! ! Googiez, ! the girl who's all The Middle alone, but in a ! crowded room. ! ! In response to that email that I just read (the only one we've gotten so far, basically), I am posting! Isn't that great. So, It's pronounced Im-broo-lee- ah, the G is silent in Australia. The soap opera she was in is called Neighbours. She played Beth. There have been some decent articles about her in several magazines- Jump, YM both featured her on the cover, just to name a few. In one article she was compared to Alanis Morisette. I never really thought of things like that, but hey, it seems fitting, right? She's 23 years old. When she was 16 she nabbed a Japanese bubble gum comercial, which led her to the Neighbours auditions. She was only supposed to play a two-weeker, but the audience loved her so much that she stayed for two years. The cute guy in the Torn video is named Jeremy something (sorry I can't remember his last name). She used to date david Schwimmer, but she's curently with Lenny Kravitz. Natalie is 5' 3" tall, and in school, her nickname was Boog (short for Booger)! When she was 14 she turned down a record deal for some sort of girl group. She grew up in Sydney with her parents and three sisters. Her US tour starts in November. Woah, I kinda wrote a lot there, didn't I? I'll shut up now, sorry that the post was so random and unorganized! I hope that everyone else posts something soon, so that we can all get a better idea of how many people are on the list! Bye! : ) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Aug 1998 17:09:38 -0700 (MST) From: Wes Derby Subject: Re: Hello out there! Advertising in our homepages! Great idea Victor! In fact I'm thinking about creating a Natalie page. I'm almost done with my Jewel page. What does everybody else think of this? Thanx to B8ysmurf for the great info i had no clue about. Anybody know of any great Nat links? So far, I've only found the official one.
