I think she said on MTV's Fanatic that her producer, who wrote it, showed it
to her and thought it was perfect for her. She liked it and the rest is
history.


Question 3: Do you know the original performer's band name? 

I think it's something like Edna Swap or Ednaswap.

I've got a question to add: "Which video do you like better Torn or Wishing I
was there?"

Give the list sometime. After all, even the longest journey begins with a
single step.
