Oh god, it's not even close to Jan. 1 anymore, is it? :) Anyway, just wanted to check in and see if everyone is still alive. I had a Zipper-ific New Year's, got to spend new year's eve watching Ken's band (the b-sides) in Chapel Hill. They're marvelous. A bunch of teenagers and Ken on bass- who woulda thought? They sound sort of like Weezer but their songs tend to be a little longer and more "experimental" but i highly reccommend them to anyone who's looking for a new band to check out. Not anything like the Zippers so don't be disappointed if that's what you're looking for. Check out www.b-sidesrswell.com to hear sound clips and order the single which i think will be done by Jan. 12. I also got to see the famed Kensway studio which is where PF and i think maybe some of Hot was recorded. it's just a broken down house! but i guess before it was broken down, it was functional. Ken's got a lot of archaic equipment in his house mixed with some expensive pieces. That's the secret! I also recognized some of the places and things from Zipper photo shoots, especially from that cover story from AP magazine. pretty neat. One other thing, I was on Amazon.com this morning and one of their reccomendations for me was "Samsara" right on the front page! pretty neat! Okay well let's hear from ya, just to see if we're all still alive. take care. Jess ------------------------------ End of the-landing-digest V4 #1 *******************************
