I wasn't sure what to expect what with Tom and Ken gone. No need to worry though, they were awesome. The Dirty Dozen opened. The Zippers made their entrance from the rear doing a New Orleans style march through the crowd. No Katherine though. I was worried. They did their first number "Bed Bugs" then she came out to do "Club Limbo". Sweet relief. They played for quite a while - though avoiding the popular Maxwell material, which I suspected would happen. They also had an old guy dressed like a butler walk through the crowd serving hor d'oeuvres. Reese Gray wasn't there I noticed. Instead Robert Griffen from KW's Jazz Squad. Is this a permanent replacement? For an encore they played along in sync to the Ghost of Steven Foster cartoon. Then they jammed with the Dirty Dozen. Chris P. grabbed his marching drum and jumped into the audience. Finally, the two bands did a march through the crowd and then backstage. Good clean fun! BTW, there were a ton of video cameras all over the place and Jimbo kept saying it was being brodcast around the world. I assume is was over the internet - anybody know what site?
