They were wonderful as always, even on the new songs, and I would agree about Reese. Boy is that guy AMAZING on the piano!!!!! Hopefully he's less arrogent than he came across as being then, though =) If any here have not seen SNZ in concert, be sure to go! I don't want to sound like just because there new album is different, that you won't enjoy it live, because you probably will. Also, they don't play only songs from one album when they play live. They play songs from all albums, so it is real good. NOW, I just need to see BOF before they break up (Did I hear right that they are disbanding? I hope not, but the inevitable happens sometimes) Well, gotta go. I'll check those new dates, and if they come close enough (I'm near Wheeling, WV in Ohio) and are cheap enough (Oooh, I hope so!) then I'll go. I just saw Over the Rhine in concert (Anyone heard of them?) in Dayton, Oh on Saturday. I was REALLY impressed, but I don't care for them as much on album, SOOO, Make sure you all see them live if you can (They're sort of alternative folk). I warn you, though, if you listen to song clips on line or on their albums, it doesn't compare to live!) OK, thats it for me. Have a great day all! Sincerely; Daniel J. Colin and Josh are getting married (not to each other), and don't want to be on the road so much. So other than sticking to the locale, the best most of us my have from them is recordings. - -Mike ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Oct 2000 10:50:41 -0400 From: DawnC@PETA-Online.org Subject: BOF rumor Did I miss something? Did someone say something about BOF breaking up or are we shouting fire in a theatre? =dc= ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Oct 2000 12:57:48 EDT From: BlowRedBlow@aol.com Subject: Re: BOF rumor eeee... no, a while back I made a post, which said this: " I have been informed that the Bowl of Fire has just about had it with the touring and lack of crowds... which means... you all know what it means. So get yourself to a show and bring friends, whether they like them or not. Otherwise, you won't be seeing them period." which I can see as being misconstrued, now that I read it again. The last time I talked to Kate (Je's mother-in-law), she said that because there is such a lack of crowds, and with the new marriages coming up, they do not want to tour beyond the local Chicago area... or at least a whole lot less than before. I'm sorry for causing any distress, misunderstandings, what not. They will continue making music, but just not trying to push it as much. They will probably be more like the Q6 now. Sorry for the confusion, Mike ------------------------------ End of the-landing-digest V3 #141 *********************************
