The Bowl of Fire show last night, at the Milwaukee Ale House. Awesome. I know I always use the word "awesome" to describe BOF shows, but what other word can I use? Breathtaking, perhaps? I believe that Kris, my mom, and I were the only people there who knew BOF. Most everyone there seemed to be there for the bar scene. Lots of people danced... (grr... stood right in front of us to do it.... grrr.....) I snagged a set list from Kevin after the show, but they played the songs out of order, left a few out, and added a few others. They had to play two 75 minute sets, which is a long time. Andrew had the mic from hell. It kept sliding down, and moving. I still don't know why he didn't switch mics with Colin..... In order to fill the two 75 minute sets, the boys also played some of Quality Six's music, and some of Colin's band's music, and I don't have full titles on the set list, so bear with me.... satisfied cock o the walk trash or (that's what it says...) not a song eugene (which they played 1st) 11:11 nola dog one lonely drum why? no me llores case in point fatal flower candy shop man alive 2 way action el son no ha m. (i don't know... I think they skipped this one on the set) coney island shuffle pataro perdido (not too sure on the last two letters) core & rind apples waiting to talk precious gold way out west el cuarto head soak indescreet I'm loving their new stuff. I really am. it's great stuff. "the swimming hour" will be out in february. "control freak" will be out Aug. 15, and the cd release show is Sept. 15, or 16th. Josh's birthday is on July 9th, and Colin's is on May 2nd. The show was spectacular, even though the guys really didn't want to play there. I think seeing some familiar faces helped, though. They were just finishing the pre-show stuff when we got there, and they came over to us right away and talked for quite a while. Andrew smiled and waved when we came in. I was quite surprised. Pleasantly surprised, of course. :) *laura* ------------------------------ End of the-landing-digest V3 #110 *********************************
