To say that any sex in a movie makes it a bad movie is just really immature and perhaps shows your own repressed emotions and feelings about sex or whatever. Sex is a big part of many people's lives. It is passion as someone already said, and is not a bad thing as many people like to believe. Sex is a part of REAL LIFE and therefore it is not cheap to put it in a movie if it is done non-gratuitous manner with taste/tact and for a reason, and/or for a point. Of course there is a whole range of sex content in movies with G rated movies and Porn flicks on the ends of the spectrum. The sex in Red Violin was not excessive (just having sex does not make someone, man or woman, a nympho)and it was not pointless. Also, to whoever said that all men are nymphos, and women aren't is just wrong. That is the way that men and women are portrayed in movies, but in my experiences, I've know so many more women than men that love sex and can't get enough that I've found that to be a terrible steriotype.
