Here it is for anybody that doesn't get the news from Mammoth. Peace, Dave >>Hey all, We have a Zippers update!! FINALLY! Here's all I know so far: The band's new site is under construction. As you all know, Kenny ran the old site and has since left the band. The new construction will have a different look, but the content should be just as good. It's at the same address: www.snzippers.com. There's a "Coming Soon" page up now so fans don't get scared. :) We have four NEW TOUR DATES as well: 12/5/99 Philadelphia,PA Theater of the LivingArts (w/ Hobex) 12/7/99 New York, NY Irving Plaza (w/ Hobex) 12/16/99 Carrboro, NC Cat's Cradle (w/ my current favorites Countdown Quartet) 12/31/99 Seattle, WA Stadium Exhibition Center "Last Call Millenium Ball" (w/ Chris Isaak and Robert Cray) There may be more dates to come as well, so keep checking out www.mammoth.com and www.snzippers.com to see what develops. There are three new members in the lineup. I've seen a couple of them play in their previous groups and found them completely amazing. I think they'll add a really amazing new dimension to the group. Tim Smith will be playing sax, Dave Wright fills the trombone spot and Reese Gray will add some piano to the mix. The band has just completed recording an upcoming album tentatively scheduled for release in April 2000. Word in the house is that the new tracks are excellent--we're all very excited about it!! That's all for now. More news when it becomes available. (I can't wait! I'm all giddy!!) Keep checking www.mammoth.com for more info. Hope all is well. Possibly the TACKIEST bar in Montreal, but at least they are coming. I have a little entourage going to the fete. I sure hope they bring a french/english dictionary. If you can't speak french, you are a bit screwed in the driving category. Speaking of the Cradle Will Rock, the most established kick-arse magazine in the world (Vanity Fair) has a superb article on Orson Welles by James Wolcott. Check it out, that's what the movie is about (I think). It's the November edition with James Carrey on the cover. Theresa. >hey, i felt like looking up BOF dates on pollstar so i did.
