Dawn: If you hear any more about when the film will be released or where it will be playing PLEASE let me know! Andrew said they like to make >it >special in Chicago and that they did. I drove down from Grand Rapids to see this show and it was truly awesome. I didn't expect BOF to rock out as hard as they did. During one of the opening sets I was sitting at a table and my sweaty leg bumped up against an electrical outlet. The jolt I got foreshadowed the energy coming from Andrew's violin later that night, I think. I also got to meet Andrew, buy "Music of Hair," and pay a mere $12 for a pitcher of Guiness... all in all a good night. I wouldn't mind seeing the set list from this night if you don't mind posting. But i talked to the lovely Beth Mosher yesterday, and she said that her and Ken were very wrapped up in the remodeling of their house (bathrooms, this week) which is the honest to god truth, as they have been working on said house forever. Also, Mel Maxwell (tom's wifey) used to help Beth with all the merchandise, and for obvious reasons, does no longer. So things are sort of awry out there. So don't let Shaun get you down!! he's just a little upset about his things. Beth told me she'd get his stuff out asap and throw in something for "y'all to share" but i don't know what that would be, and Shaun told me he doesn't like to share ;) okay so think good things. happy thoughts. all is well. And if it isn't, i am going there for a week in Agust to set everything straight! hahaha Jess *********************************************************** * --+-READ THE SHRUBBERY-+-- * http://www.theshrubbery.com --New Every Month- -Humor, Music, News and More-- *********************************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 18:18:07 EDT From: DManco6702@aol.com Subject: Knock-Down Society Hello, all. Just thought I'd let you in my exciting weekend plans: a pilgrimage from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Memphis, Tennessee to check out the southern sights and see Jas. Mathus and His Knock-Down Society perform live! Yowsah! I'm really excited, especially since I didn't get to see the Jazz Squad perform this summer or attend any of the North Carolina barn dances. I'll report on the show when I get back home. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 20:57:57 -0400 From: Dawn Carr Subject: Bowl Of Frustration Alright folks, I'm a little wigged out because my computer just swallowed my long, detailed, witty, and insightful post on the BOF shows (including the set lists). Damn it. Yes, I said damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it. Pooh! ---I will go so far. I think I just need to be alone for a while as I suffer the loss. Or I suppose I'll just go see Knockdown Society instead? Ok. Hasta mas tarde damn it. =dc= > -----Original Message----- > From: Mike Judd [SMTP:mikejudd@hotmail.com] > Sent: Wednesday, July 28, 1999 12:59 PM > To: the-landing@smoe.org > Subject: BOF shows > > > > >Wow indeed.
