My cookies are all done. but the Shrub is not. It's cuz Courtney was late with her reviews that you guys didn't get a TV listing this week :P And i don't wish someone would tell us where to find SHort on the cd. I wish someone would TELL us who shorty IS!! because... once again... QUICKTIME has ceased to work on my computer!! and the next bastard who emails me and says "download the new version" gets a punch in the nose :) It doesn't work!! Okay that's all. back to shrub...shrub shrub... oh yeah, congrats to Andrew Peterson, who may or may not be on this list. he won the SNZ cd off the Shrub. It is absolutely amazing!! Yes, I've seen Wayne Brady do Louis and many more. It is amazing. He can make up songs about anything instantly. His impression last night of Tina Turner (with a little bit of Ike thrown in) had me rolling on the floor with laughter. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Howse about a thread to recommend indy films with zipperific music? (Gotta stay zipperized on this list, no?) I'll start with a little film called "Ed's Next Move," featuring the music of a band called "Ed's Redeeming Qualities." The main thing they have in common with the Zippers is a refreshing lack of pretension. And they're fun! "You fell off a horse, so I carried you You got a divorce, so I married you..." That video was one of the best i've ever seen! The first thing I noticed was how Jim was dressed like Cab Calloway at the beginning. I also love what they did durring the lines: "Ships were made for sinking, whiskey made for drinking. If we were made of cellophane, we'd all get stinking drunk much faster!" And how the clerk strokes miss boops arm when he said: "Camptown ladies never sang all the doo-dah day. (No No No!)" The only thing that makes me worried is air play. By the looks of the terrible video's and bands they play on there now (Backstreet Boys, Kid Rock) that they wont play something like SNZ's "Stephen Foster". I just hope somebody plays it atleast once so i can tape it. I never once saw MTV, Box, or VH1 play "Suits", so that made me worried about "Stephen Foster". Name: Jose Gabriel Flores Streeter (that's the long version) 2. nicknames: Jose, The Big Muchacho, Home-Skillz, Milkman, Mack-Attack (all except for the last four) 3. Location: Jamaica Plain, MA (a neighborhood in Boston. JP represent!) 4. have you seen snz live?: I've gotten you all accustomed to long answers, but not this time kiddies. The answers is: (drum roll) no. 5. website(s): several visited, none created 6. other favorite bands: Smashing Pumpkins, Cypress Hill, DJ Venom, Adam X, 420 (DJ Bam Bam and Alex Peace), Paul Oakenfold (ok, so I don't listen to a lot of other jazzy stuff, but I looooove SNZ, and have for a few years) 7. If i could rename the band, i'd rename them: The (Amazing) Squirrel Nut Zippers (the Amazing is silent) 8. Zipper I'd most like to be stuck in an elevator with: I don't really know enough about each zipper to make that kind of statement (sorry) 9. Zipper who's job i'd most like to have: whoever gets to scream in the background of Hell. (I dunno why, probably because I don't know enough about each zipper to make a more intelligent response than "the one with the horn") 10. Prettiest male Zipper in a dress?: Tom . . . I know from personal experience . . . (wait, that'd be weird) ANyway, I hope my latest post wasn't too potent for you all. G'night yall, and look out for my next post, chock full o' "humor".
