I was wondering if anybody on this list has a really good old hot jazz radio show in their area? Over here I have a show on my local NPR called "Hot Jazz Saturday Night". They play alot of Louis Armstrong's All-stars, Louis Armstrong's Hot 5s & 7s, The Dorsey brothers, Fats Waller & his rhythm, Benny Goodman, Cab Calloway, Louis Prima, King Oliver, Kid Ory, etc... Then every Sunday night at 10:00pm the show "Riverwalk; Live from the landing" is on. Its a live Dixieland/hot jazz band playing with different guests each week (they even had Stephane Grappelli once) at a club in texas. Every one should check it out. Tonight (21st) the Jim Cullon jazz band, and a guest Cornet player did a tribute to Louis Armstrong. They played his Hot 5s & 7s stuff mostly, even playing the ever sweet "West End Blues" (and hitting the intro almost perfectly) Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of the-landing-digest V2 #57 ********************************
