I hope that everyone is prepared for a pretty wonderful Thanksgiving--seems like, especially this past year, there is *so much* to be thankful for, especially each other, the bonds we share, and all the amazing creations and miracles that come from us. One of these creations is music...something so sweet and soul-piercing that it has to be shared with the world at large whenever possible. On December 5, you can have that opportunity...I am opening up my home, like I do most months of the year, for a Living Room Concert. Come and share in the spirit of giving, sharing, appreciating, and accepting... Two of Boston's finest women singers,, Linda Sharar and Mica Richards, will be performing that evening. Mica will rip you out and dazzle you from behind her piano, sharing her powerful voice and her soulful songs. Sometimes bluesy, sometimes jazzy, sometimes folky, she has become a favourite on the Boston scene. Those of you who have come and who have really found a liking to Jenny Bruce from NYC, trust me--you'll like Mica. Linda's style is different...equally beautiful. One of the best ways I can describe her talent is that listening to her is like looking at a peacock. As a peacock unfolds its tail, in its elegant and sublime manner, so many beautiful colors become available to your eye. As you listen to Linda's beautiful voice and hear her lyrics being sung to such sublime music, so many rich feelings fill you up that you're left wanting more. PLEASE DO COME!!! AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!! Here is the "low down"... What: Tales From the Living Room (the name of the series...) May the sun guide you with assertive perseverence. May the stars embrace you, bringing smiles to your faces and songs to your souls.
