He has had trouble with Pleximusic (the label which was set to release the cd) who don't think that the cd is worth publishing. The soundtrack features, among others, a new song by Lisa Germano, entitled "White", so I think it would be well worth it for that only. Here's his message: My name is Matthew Hoge, and I directed "The United States of Leland," a film that was scored by Mr. Jeremy Enigk. The film was released on April 2nd in the US. I had been hopeful that a soundtrack would accompany the film's release, but, unfortunately, we hit a few snags. I hate to burden you guys and gals with this, but I was hoping a few of you might be able to write a quick something indicating your (hopeful) interest in the album. Just a short post on the forum will do. This will give me a place to direct the powers that be who are questioning whether releasing this album is a worthwhile endeavor. I certainly think it is. We have four new Jeremy songs, in addition to new tracks from Robert Pollard, Frank Black, Tobin Sprout, Lisa Germano, and others. I'm really excited about Jeremy's work on this album and I'm trying to persuade others that there's an audience for it. Hopefully, there is. Thanks again... Sincerely, Matthew To leave your message, go to http://www.thefiretheft.com/mboards/topic.asp?id=4227&forumID=1&page=1 If a lot of us post something, stating our interest in the soundtrack, they might release it...
