My personal ranking goes something like this: 01. "Geek The Girl" 02. "Excerpts From A Love Circus" 03. "Slide" 04. "Happiness" 05. "Lullaby For Liquid Pig" 06. "On The Way Down From The Moon Palace" I don't count "Rare, Unusual Or Just Bad Songs" as an album, so I haven't listed it. Also, it would ensure that the income from sales goes to the artist and not some top-notch label (usually, the artist only gets around 5-8% of the income)... The only problem with the independent vs. label ordeal comes in terms of production finances and promotion. Releasing an album worldwide can be expensive as hell, and that doesn't even include promotion. If the public doesn't buy the independently released cd's, then the artists in question can get into serious financial trouble (a lot of independent artists take on huge bankloans to finance studio-fees etc. (Sophie B. Hawkins took on a bankloan of 1.1 million to record and release her latest album) + distribution fees can take the fun out of economics BIG TIME...). Lisa put down a lot of money just to release "Lullaby For Liquid Pig", despite the fact that she had support from Ineffable who payed for promotion and distribution. One can only imagine the costs she would have been faced with if she hadn't had them. Well, back to the rarities album... I personally don't count the rarities cd as an album, 'cause it's more like a compilation of previous material (just like the "Concentrated" cd). Don't get me wrong: I loved some of the songs (especially "Oh... Just A Melody" and "Cat Mask And Cowboy Hat"). If I were to choose a top-five of my favourite LG songs, those would probably be among them...
