I talked to her after the show, and funnily we were discussing the mess with the two people getting no or falsely twice the same Webside CDs... the solution is this: the one who got 2x Rare had written: "please send me the two Rare CDs" so she thought he meant the Rare one twice, since the other CD has a different name...and the (Belgian?) person who sent her a money order letter had a handwriting she could not read, and since she has not his address I hereby ask the person if he's on this list: send a letter to her again and the things will get done ;-) It was very nice talking to her....she seemed quite light and positively looking forward to the tour ahead... ********* Now I spare the bad thing of last night til the end, and I'll write it smaller so it won't diminuish the wonderful experience of seeing Lisa... Lisa stole my heart again last night, but this Eleni Mandell really stole my time. She started in a slightly Chan Marshall manner, and I thought it could be quite ok, but when she and her band which suffered obviously that current Calexico disease started to torture me with Merle Haggard and making Jacques Brel sound like Tammy Wynette I couldn't bear it anymore. EM may have a better voice than Lisa, but she has so much less. If you have so few to say you shouldn't be admitted to any stage. When she ended up like a late night bar Sarah Vaughn I was praying that my ears wouldn't be spoilt for Lisa....Miss Mandell may be straight, but not from the heart cause there is no. Such a slick, uninspired performance...what are her merits to support a Lisa Germano? And: in this case, the Brussels audience was a bit too polite for my taste...she even was aloud to play an encore....yawn. Sorry I had to get rid of this. It shouldn't cast a shadow on Lisa....but next time she may better have a male support ;-) any suggestions?
