Tom had been working in San Diego (where I live) for a year or so with Gregory Page, whose music I've been into for the last ten years or so. The two of them had done a cooperative project called The American Folk Singers, released on Gregory's small livingroom label. It's so strange to me that I completely missed out on seeing him in SD since I know a couple of the people he'd been playing around town with. I wasn't introduced to his music until he opened for Lisa at Largo. Small, small world. Anyway, to swing back on topic - I don't think I need to add to Tom Lucas' excellent review of last Friday's show. It was cool to meet up with Tom, Sean and their friends. It added to the comfortable, happy vibe in the room. Were there any other listees in attendance? Candace? Did anyone see Thursday's show, when Lisa said she'd been in a bad mood?
