No, I haven't seen that article yet. I did see that a Lush song was in a car commercial recently. First The Swell Maps and now Lush. Do you think Lisa will ever have her music in a commercial? Hey I sent you a song for the tribute for Lisa cd. It's really cool. It's nice to see this being finished. The Syd Barrett tribute that you produced was way cool. > Just wondering if anyone here has seen the piece on > Lisa Germano that the "Baby > Talk" fanzine did? > It's issue #9 > http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Venue/8686/babytalk.html Yahoo! I personally think there's nothing wrong with a little licensing as long as there is product consideration. Like using "You Make Me Want To Wear Dresses" to sell Barbie dolls would be strange but I wouldn't be offended (nor surprised) to see it advertising Gap's 2003 line of summer dresses. Still, I don't mind Lisa selling hers songs out to the world. Ever since Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" sold me on getting a VW or Mary Lou Lord's version of "Speeding Motorcycle" made me rediscover Target merchandise, commercialism sometimes isn't a bad thing. And I still can't believe Leisha Hailey from The Murmurs is actually IN those Yoplait commercials selling yogurt. Weird. ~c - --- Neptune wrote: > No, I haven't seen that article yet.
