Scratching my chin about the Vanilla Sky soundtrack...I know Lisa wrote Ice Cream Truck many moons before the sky went vanilla. Although makes me happy that she hasn't missed out at all. Lovely textured, with a fuzzy yet tender electric guitar, backing vocals (very unusual for Lisa!), the violin accentuating the mood of her voice on top of a very basic track off a low-end drum machine. Lisa in top form and such a nice little tidbit to tide me over until her next album! Not that I think I'll ever tire of her albums. It was a pleasant surprise to read the detailed plans of another album, even down to song titles, tentative though they are. I take it that she has the material written already, and "only" needs to record and mix it. Let's cross our fingers that she gets a good record label contract. Looking forward to the autumn, Kjetil T. [1] I believe I have almost everything else in Lisa's discography, but I haven't found anyone selling it who're willing to ship that tribute album outside the US :-/ - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address.
