Contest I have 2 subjects: 1- The contest: I know I probaby won't have a chance to talk to Lisa in forthcoming years. But it'd sure be very nice from anyone from this list to ask her "Have you ever checked your mailing list at the internet?" or "I'm part of sycophant, your internet mailint list. It'd be nice of you to drop a line one of these days". 2- Recently, during an FTP search, I looked for Lisa Germano in some MP3 search, and I found some "Lisa Germnao - Lovesick Remix", from some "Underdogs- a compilation of dance music". It was track 16 from the album. Anyone knows about this? - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address. Contest Hello... after the one live experience I had of Lisa (Roskilde Festival 95) I hadn't much of a chance to chat with her since I was nowhere near a backstagepass. I don't think I would have known what to say anyhow. The concert was glorious though, one of the best I've ever attended. I nearly ate my hand of in grief when I missed her together with OP8 a couple of years ago in Stockholm, but I've heard the show (it was aired on swedish radio) and that too was outstanding. that of that... new to the list as I am... I don't know what has been discussed here, but what news are there concerning any new material/album? /oskar PS. yesh... Waits, Tindersticks and Waterboys dwell in my recordcollection alongside with Lisa, although I'm not a member of any mailinglists of theirs. Contest I was at the Waterloo in-store (Austin), as well. I caught a few songs the night before. Didn't she make the band stop several times and get rather angered? Anyway, don't tell anyone but I videotaped the in-store performance. Several people I knew showed up while Lisa was playing. You can hear me talking TOO loud. If I had been in the crowd, I would have told me to Shut Up. So, if any of you were there, consider this a belated apology. After Lisa had finished playing, I was still videoing. She met several people. When I approached her, I offered her an Altoid. She took one and offered me some English lozenges(sp). Still videoing, I asked her to say something bad about Victoria Williams on tape. She couldn't think of anything bad to say about VW or her dog. That's all I can remember right now. Michael Ps. I used to be the Poster Child for Altoids. They aren't as curiously strong as they used to be. David Elliott wrote: > > Hi all! > I've had the neat opportunity to meet Lisa a few > times! It was track 16 from the album. Anyone knows about this? It looks like it could be track 16 of Kid Loco's DJ Kicks cd, which is Lovesick (Underdog rmx). It's a great compilation but that remix seems to have mixed Lisa out of it entirely - if you didn't know it was her then you wouldn't know it was her, basically.
