Brief (3/4 page), but interesting. - ---------- Original Text ---------- From: "Sean T Barrett" , on 05/24/2000 11:31 AM: >weep loud people... I'm weeping! Argh! i wouldn't call her playing with eels her return to the music bizz. she will most definatly not be recording with them or have any influence.. eels is actually just lead singer e and drummer butch and if you're really acurate it's just mr e. she's just good friends with e and has a good time playing with him, as it seems. apperently dreamworks is not really helping eels in any way anymore. that's also why e went solo opening for fiona apple. their record sales aren't really that great, while their new record is, so i say: go buy please. well at least they'll still play at the dave letterman thing. i hate to have to sit through that boring predictable american humor thing to see some good bands, but at least they let 'em play. hopefully it will boost their sales enormously so dreamworks will finally finance an enormous us tour. (oh, and eels had a three record deal, daisies is the third one so i'm gonna have to cross my fingers anyway) in the meantime, keep those lisa records spinning cos she's cuter then britney. kleins - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address. She joined the eels, but she >has no inflewence of their music. sigh. > eric she has NOT joined eels, you silly man. she is playing in their live band as of now. if eels makes albums like big busses, daisies of the galaxy is the cutesey toy bus among them, and because this album is really cute and weird, they play shows as a six piece, containing lisa germano playing loads of instruments, 3 hornplayers playing loads of horns and a banjo and a hawaian thing, a bass player who also plays upright bass and a drummer with something resembling an ordinary drum kit and some big drummy things as well. it's just one big circus and lisa is part of that. but they'll probably return to playing as a three piece in the future. (if they manage to find a new bass player that is). and you should've gotten used to the idea of living without new lisa stuff by now i suppose. and there's still plenty of good music floating around, even though lisa will remain to be the loveliest female in the history of corporate rock. let's all hope she does something again one day. she's just another gal wondering around on planet earth, you can never know. klm - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address.
