When I presented myself some time ago, I wrote I'm very interested in Improvised music and contemporary jazz in general. So yes, John Zorn is someone I'm interested in too, of course. He's the Godfather of the New York Downtown avant-garde. Even if since Masada, he's falling into mainstream or the avant-garde of the mainstream. As you're talking about the sound of vinyl, we could talk about Christian Marclay and/or Martin Tétreault if you want. I don't know so much about them, in fact. Maybe you. I'm glad someone wants to talk about those kind of musicians, 'cause I always thought Lisa's music is not so far away from that and from the Chicago scene: the jazz one as the others ones, as they are working a lot together.
