I don't think Lisa Gerrard's stuff is necessarily less ACCESSIBLE, it's just accessible to a different group of people; the stuff I love the most from DCD is the stuff that has Brendan mostly on it -- the dark folky popsy stuff. Lisa by herself is very sort of almost-New-Age-world-beat-y, which is nice but not as nice as when Brendan is singing. - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address. OT - DCD: Brendan vs. Lisa Personally, I always bought the DCD cd's for Lisa Gerrard's contributions. Her stuff on the first This Mortal Coil was quite good too. I never had much tolerance for Brendan Perry's second rate pseudo-Jim Morrison-isms....which I guess puts me into into that different group....all a matter of personal taste. Simply put, Brendan Perry uses his voice as a singer, while Lisa Gerrard uses her voice as an instrument. and that of course is just my two cents worth Doug Matt J wrote: > I don't think Lisa Gerrard's stuff is necessarily less ACCESSIBLE, it's > just accessible to a different group of people; the stuff I love the most > from DCD is the stuff that has Brendan mostly on it -- the dark folky > popsy stuff.
