I listened to it last night, and the booklet said that Ivo & John had only produced/"resurrected" three tracks, but it sounds as if they had something to do with the whole record.. (I read this in an interview, but can't remember the source.) If you listen to the same song from each CD back-to-back, it seems to be true. I definitely love the cover of "These Boots are Made for Walking" (Capitol), though I would take the 4AD version of the album over the Capitol version anyday. It has a much more cohesive sound - more absorbing. Of the thirteen tracks on the 4AD version of happiness, six are exactly the same as on the Capitol version. The remaining seven may either have a slightly different intro/prologue to the 4AD ones but be otherwise the same (ie "bad attitude", "around the world", "puppet" be completely new songs ("breathe across texas", "these boots") or be different versions of the songs ("you make me want to wear dresses", "puppet"). (I know "energy" was slightly different too, but can't remember if it was only an intro thing or if they are different versions) Hope this helps, Simon (who had to re-subscribe to send this as he is on a different computer:) - -----Original Message----- From: owner-sycophant@smoe.org [mailto:owner-sycophant@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Stian Sandberg Sent: Thursday, 18 November 1999 00:49 To: sycophant@smoe.org Subject: sycophant Happiness I was wondering if any of the tracks on Happiness (4AD-version) are 100% identical to the Capitol-version, or if all of them were remixed?
