There is a group of us over on the Throwing Music site and list who are contributing to a Throwing Muses fan tribute CD. Me and some friends recorded our rendition of "Counting Backwards" as our contribution. The plan is to compile the submissions, make the CDs and present copies to Kristin Hersh and the members of Throwing Muses. I think that would be a cool idea... Speaking for half of Dead Dog, we'd love to submit something for a tribute like that. One problem is that, unlike most artists, Lisa Germano recorded most of her songs so well that it's hard to imagine "improving" any of them -- they'd almost be entirely different songs if they were done by anyone else... As someone who just recently joined this list (I was on another list and found out about this one), can someone point me to an article on Ms. Germano leaving the music biz? :( robey - -- Robey Pointer | I'm not clever enough for a sig. robey@lag.net | http://www.lag.net/~robey - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant If you gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of computers, they would all get AOL accounts and send unsub messages to the list address.
