That's one of the reasons she's so cool; even though her songs are serious, she doesn't take herSELF ultra-seriously so she's a cool person instead of some psychopath artist/egomaniac type, unlike a lot of other song-writers (ahem! Tori Amos, anyone?). --Matt J - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Sep 1998 18:08:22 EDT From: RocAraceli@aol.com Subject: Re: sycophant Lisa at the Largo In a message dated 98-09-19 17:19:37 EDT, johnsonm@ea.oac.uci.edu writes: >That's one of the reasons she's so cool; even though her songs are >serious, she doesn't take herSELF ultra-seriously so she's a cool person >instead of some psychopath artist/egomaniac type, unlike a lot of other >song-writers (ahem! Tori Amos, anyone?). actually if you've ever seen tori in concert she does make fun of herself when she fucks up onstage. and if you've ever met her you would meet someone who's far from an egomaniac. i've met lisa too and she's pretty awesome. if someone called her a psycho i would wonder what their reasoning was. not that either of those fabulous women need anyone to defend them.. anyone in europe catching any of lisa's gigs? please write reviews or post pictures or something! ciao. http://members.aol.com/versusmoll/rocio.html - ------- The Ectophile's Guide to Good Music: http://www.smoe.org/ectoguide/ - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant ------------------------------ End of sycophant-digest V3 #91 ****************************** ======================================================================== Please send any questions or comments about the list to sycophant-owner@smoe.org
