I never talk to people I don't know (unless I'm approached) So why would I talk to someone I don't know, just because they're one of my favorite musicians?-Katie - ------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with the message: unsubscribe sycophant ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jul 1998 19:30:08 EDT From: PMJJDH@aol.com Subject: Re: sycophant More Lisa at Knitting Factory Yes, I saw her at KF. I especially enjoyed hearing My Seacret Reason. Those lyrics are priceless! She made a comment after the first song that was quite amusing. She commented to the sound desk that she couldn't hear her voice on her monitor, and said something like, "I'm just telling you about it, I'm not going to complain - I don't do that anymore!" At which a few people in the audience laughed, and she was like,"What's so funny?", at which everyone laughed a bit more , as she took a drink from her water bottle. I also remember a new song with lyrics that seem to be about sobriety. I would love to see her with a full band. My only somewhat full band experience was the last time she played at Brownies, which seemed to be a logistical nightmare - competent players - too bad. Also that Wooden Floor song was awesome! Her delivery on Little Cowboy was breathtaking! I feel that there's a need for a prayer that everyone on the list gets to see her soon! Pam: >I especially enjoyed hearing My Seacret Reason. >Those lyrics are priceless! Oh, yeah, I was gonna post again that she played My Secret Reason. It's one of my favorite songs of hers and I was really happy to hear her play it. When I saw her last year, My Secret Reason and Singing To The Birds were highlights for me. But I figured I posted too much already and I didn't wanna keep adding to my post. Brownies would be a total logistical nightmare. How did they pull it off? And what did you think of Lisa's puffy burgundy blouse thing. My friend and I thought it was cool and festive.
