None that I am aware of. Perhaps it could be a project for the list to submit? I would be happy to act as a clearinghouse for the data (double-checking, compiling, adding an odd bit or 2 from her pre-Mellencamp days). Then we could make access via any and all list members. Whatcha think? - -----Original Message----- From: StelthBear@aol.com [SMTP:StelthBear@aol.com] Sent: Monday, July 06, 1998 5:43 AM To: sycophant@smoe.org Subject: sycophant Complete discography? Maybe it's somewhere and I've missed it, but is there a >complete< discography somewhere of Lisa's work, including all her backup credits and video appearances? - -- Tim ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Jul 1998 07:21:27 -0700 From: Marc Tobolski Subject: sycophant Re: Question! There are currently 117 subs to the sycophant list. When I get a chance I'll try and do a break down on them (ie: domains, etc.). Autobiographical stuff would have to come from the individual members. - -----Original Message----- From: StevenDJ [SMTP:stevendj@uswest.net] Sent: Wednesday, July 01, 1998 5:43 AM To: sycophant@smoe.org Subject: sycophant Re: Question! Could the list owner perhaps let the rest of us know - out of curiousity - - how many people are joined at the hip here. I know I would appreciate it. Also, everyone who is capable - please tell us your name, rank, and serial number, and any other "quality" details about yerselves. I gotta feelin' the list is kinda dark and sarcastic. Just like Lisa. If so, that would be cool. Lisa has a new album coming out ya know. July 21, I heard, right? Should be great! Called Slide? Later! I thought there were about six maybe. You people must be shy. :) Love yas though. Jason - -- Hey: go visit my homepage at http://www.alphalink.com.au/~jurgen/ "I speak to the black experience, but I am always talking about the human condition - about what we can endure, dream, fail at, and still survive." - Maya Angelou "It doesn't seem plausible to me that there is the kind of God who watches over human affairs, listens to prayers, and tries to guide people to follow His precepts -- there is just too much misery and cruelty for that." - Benjamin Spock "To be a philosopher is not merely to have subtle thoughts, nor even to found a school, but so to love wisdom as to live accordingly to its dictates, a life of simplicity, independence, magnanimity, and trust." - Henry David Thoreau "I am a lover and have not found my thing to love." - Sherwood Anderson "It was at a particular moment in the history of my own rages that I saw the Western world conditioned by the images of Marx, Darwin and Freud; and Marx, Darwin and Freud are the three most crashing bores of the Western world. The simplistic popularization of their ideas has thrust our world into a mental straitjacket from which we can only escape by the most anarchic violence." - William Golding ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Jul 1998 12:55:59 -0700 (PDT) From: Matt J Subject: Re: sycophant Re: Question! Autobiographical Info: I'm an English student at UCI, I work in public radio and edit a small music magazine that my radio station puts out. Other stuff I'm into besides Lisa Germano includes music of course (Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel, good old gothic stuff -- I'm seing Bauhaus next Saturday! -- and good Irish folk music) and literature (James Joyce, Sherman Alexie, Blake, Yeats, Whitman, and good old W.S. Burroughs). That's all the autobiography I can think of for now, except for the fact that I write bad poetry on occasion and take pains not to force it onto other people. Oh yeah, and I live in Orange County, so if there're any southern California people that find out if Lisa's playing an LA show before I do, lemme know and I'll probably see you there. --Matt J ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Jul 1998 14:57:26 +1200 From: Simon Shuker Subject: RE: sycophant re:Concert The concert's tomorrow - I'm hoping for some good reports here, as despite first impulses I'm not going to attend - around 14,500km at a weeks notice is just slightly too much. So those of you who can attend - please do, as even a vicarious concert is better than none.
