Indiana's 'vibes' have always been more positive than other places I have lived (Michigan, Florida, San Francisco, Phoenix). Everyone relates to their environment in a different way, I believe. Well, I tried to write a message to SYCOPHANT a little while ago, but it was during the errr... interregnum. So it didn't get through. Well, that's by the by. The message was... I got "on the way down from the moon palace." It arrived in the mail on my birthday, which was a nice and uplifting thing for it to do; i was having a pretty lousy day... but that's birthday's for you, I guess. So here's my two cents worth on MOON PALACE: I've kind of got the impression from all you guys in the past that it's a so-so album, that you should get it for the sake of completeness, but... But in my opinion, it's a very good album all on its own. the title track is of course the same tune as "little children" on the Falling from Grace soundtrack... god I love that tune. And, okay, I'll admit that tracks 2-8 are just pretty good, not actually brilliant... but track 9, dig my own grave... it's fantastic, it jumped straight into my top 5. And 10, 11, 12, 13... (sorry, I don't know the names off hand; I play them in my car and all I see is little digital number!)... well, they're a tour de force. So, what am I saying? I'm saying... if you haven't got it, get it. It's certainly as good as happiness, which also has a few lapses... Anyway, that was all just by way of... making a contribution. Anyone hears anything about a tour of australia,(yeah, right...) make sure it gets posted! see y'all! Love, Jason - -- _____________________________________________ Visit Jason D. I got it a couple of months ago, and I listened to it once. That was enough for me! I had the same reaction to her work on the Red Hot & Bothered thing and on Falling From Grace. (But the Nanci Griffith song on Falling from Grace is definitely worth the price of the cd). Her records are amazing, but there are definitely some bad songs by her out there. Did anyone get the Doc Martens 4AD sampler? ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: sycophant los angeles Author: "Jason D.
