What kinda stuff can you talk about here?

Lisa, her live appearances, magazine articles, etc.  The issues brought up
in her songs.  Related/similar artists.  Where the hell you can get Moon
Palace from and who is publishing it this week?  The upcomming version of
Happiness on Deutche Grammaphon with organs and harps added and an extra
version of bad attitute. (just joking)

As a disclaimer, this list isn't "moderated."  I have no control
over what goes over it--the message shows up at ecto.org and is
distributed to the list.  All I can do is write to the person
afterwards and ask them to please stop.  Times when I would ask
someone to stop?  Stupid flamewards, personal insults, that
kinda thing.

Common sense stuff:

o Don't send a message to the list that is intended for only one person-
  send it to that person.

o Don't send binaries or other long files over the list.
  Why?  First, people don't like getting long mails they
  haven't asked for.  Second, like flamewars, binaries put a real
  strain in the amount of volume going through the list.  A 100K file
  times 100 subscribers equals 10 MB of volume from 1 message.  No
  thanks. :)

btw, there is a digest version.  You can write to majordomo and tell it to
unsub you from this list and:

subscribe sycophant-digest

but this list is pretty low volume so you really don't HAVE to.
