At first I was pretty unimpressed with "Satisfied", but if after the umpteenth repeat of "Funstyle" what I take it as as an elaboration of "The Beat Is Up". So, in some ways it works better if you sort of consider those two as one songs. At least for me. "The Beat is Up" is Liz making fun of that whole sort of suburban mom life-style and making some very wry and astute observations about it (and it cracks me up more and more each time... "Get up! Get out of the Bed!" and the Guru "Even though you are freaky. At least in the Bedroom. LOL.". The more I listen to this (and I've been listening daily on in the car to and from work) the more it feels like a more polished "Girlysounds". Girlysounds 2010 if you will. I really love that part of "The Beat Is Up" with the thing about imagining being impaled on a spike and not wanting to be freaky and then the hilarious LOL. Seriously one of the funniest moments in music. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V12 #26 ************************************
