[Andrea Steiner ] [support-system] The New Album ["Brooke, Robert" Subject: [support-system] Liz Phair plays all of EIG accoustic at Hiro Ballroom in NYC on June 25th! My friend saw this on BrooklynVegan -- I am SO excited!!! Liz Phair reissuing 'Exile in Guyville', performing it in 3 cities via brooklynvegan by brooklynvegan on 5/19/08 In celebration of the 15th year anniversary of the groundbreaking album, Exile in Guyville and its long awaited reissue a day earlier, Liz Phair will acoustically perform the entire album on June 25th at the Hiro Ballroom in New York. Tickets for this special event will go on sale this Wednesday and details on further events in Chicago and San Francisco will be announced shortly. Exile in Guyville, which was out of print, will be available on CD, vinyl and - for the first time ever - in digital format. The special reissue package will include three never-before-released songs from the original recording sessions: "Ant in Alaska," with Phair simply accompanying herself on guitar, "Say You," which features Phair and a full band, and an untitled instrumental with Liz on guitar. Phair has also just completed a new, 80-minute DVD, "Guyville Redux," for the reissue.... ...Phair is currently working on new studio album for the fall........which probably very few people are excited about (the new album I mean). ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 19 May 2008 15:18:44 -0400 From: "Brooke, Robert" Subject: [support-system] The New Album ...Phair is currently working on new studio album for the fall........which probably very few people are excited about (the new album I mean). Is this new album going to be like the recent releases that I sorry to say have not trilled me or is it going to be like the on edge Liz that we grew to love way back when. I don't mean that it has to sound like EIG, but at least be something that we will feel that she is trying to speak to us not make somebody money. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V10 #41 ************************************
