I saw her on her first tour in Montreal. It was a huge surprise since all the press talked about her stage fright and I believe it since she played straight through her encore so she had to sheepishly return to the stage and apologize because they didn't know any more songs. I'd love to hear her play all those songs again. I hope that the extra tracks will be available separately on iTunes or Amazon because I don't want to have to buy the album again but I'd love to get the extra goodies. Is there any hope of an EIG anniversary tour? Lor - --------------------------------- You rock. I think I must be the only person on Earth who doesn't generally want to hear working versions of songs I love. I have enjoyed those WCSE sessions tracks a lot, but the more I listen to them, the more I understand why David Lynch won't do extras and commentaries for the DVDs of his movies: It demystifies the process too much for my tastes. Same reason I don't collect live boots any more. I'd usually rather have the forms that the artists choose to release. I bought a live boot of a show I'd attended a few years ago, and it kind of spoiled it for me. The performance wasn't as otherworldly-amazing on second listen as it had been in the venue. Anyhow, this will make makes TWO special-edition re-releases this year of albums in my all-time top-10 list. I can't wait for the bonuses. So far there are three acts: Public Enemy and Mission of Burma. I'd die to see Liz and Flava Flav on the same stage. Very exciting news from Liz-land. Glad to see that she left Capitol, they were not good for her. Nice to see that she has signed on with Dave's label. Hopefully Dave will guide her in the right direction (cough cough) and she will start writing great songs again! None of it's very new to any of us, but I thought I'd share it. Here's the link: http://thisrecording.wordpress.com/2008/04/02/in-which-entertainers-bring-may-flowers/ I was a latecomer to the list and, honestly, Liz - I didn't start listening to her until college, probably around 2003. But still, it's really cool to read emails on here again, especially when it's about good news and not an upcoming album that we're worried about not liking.
