I don't remember if it was here or elsewhere, but did you all hear it turns out that the "lost" EIG master tapes actually turned up in Brad Wood's own closet? So there's always the possibility those might be available for that contemplated remix. > In lieu of new music from Liz, what is everyone listening to these days? This year's been all about PJ Harvey, Loscil, Queens of the Stone Age, Nick Lowe, Stars Of The Lid, and Caribou for me. But especially PJ Harvey. That new album is so freaking killer. It's like she's just learned to play the piano, but has been playing it since she was 8. Love. d ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Nov 2007 00:30:35 -0800 From: "nickn626" Subject: [support-system] Re: Exile in Guyville out of print? Maybe there's a Rhino box set in her future... I was in a record store today after reading the earlier post and did notice an EIG in the used disks. It's probably not hard to come by used. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Nov 2007 19:47:58 -0800 (PST) From: Tim Blaszka Subject: [support-system] Re: support-system-digest V10 #12 There are some new copies listed on amazon. I don't believe it to be out of print. It is listed as on Capital, so it's possible. Was it always on Capital? I always thought it was matador. -Tim ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Nov 2007 21:40:19 -0800 From: Stacey Wirt Subject: [support-system] Re: support-system-digest V10 #13 Wow, I wasn't expecting to see a Support System Digest in my inbox, let alone two in 24 hours. I'm not that shocked that Liz was dropped, although I am a little disappointed. Poor Liz. She can't seem to win these days. I hope she comes back to recording music in some capacity, although I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't. To answer Jase's question, I'm listening to the following these days: PJ Harvey "White Chalk" Jenny Lewis "Rabbit Fur Coat" Lovelikefire "Ocean In the Air" Judee Sill "Heart Food" Ani Difranco "Canon" There's a couple more, but these are the albums in heavy rotation for me at the moment. I'd be interested to hear people's reactions to the new PJ Harvey album, since I remember there being a significant number of PJ fans on here many years ago. - --Stacey ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V10 #14 ************************************
