And how is this possible? Geesh. I had been curious about this myself, when I noticed that EIG was no longer available on iTunes or Amazon. From what I gather, Capitol quietly dropped Liz earlier this year. While the rights to EIG reverted to Liz several years ago, she had been allowing Capitol to distribute it. It seems that she's no longer allowing them to do so. My hope is that she'll resurface on another label soon and she'll release a 15th anniversary edition of EIG, as well as a new album, in 2008. In related news, I'm not sure which is more ridiculous: The "100 Greatest Indie Rock Albums Ever" list in the current issue of Blender, or the fact that EIG was only ranked at No. 35. I know Liz's critical standing took a bit of a hit with the last two albums, but there's no way that EIG should not have been in the top 10. In lieu of new music from Liz, what is everyone listening to these days? Jase ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V10 #13 ************************************
