Anyway - reading reviews of the "forthcoming" whitechocolatespaceegg and then reviews of the self-titled album...just reminded me of springtime...and the fact that it smells like spring...GOD - it just kinda rejuvenated my fan-ness of liz. made me feel and remember what i used to love about her - even her new music. Liz can do whatever she wants musically and a part of me will always love her - BUT - the one "no-no" she can do - is release an album in the winter. I'm pretty sure Guyville was released in december...but i didn't buy it then. but i did buy Whip-Smart when it came out (pretty sure august) and I bought juvenalia on a sunny July day while I browsed record stories -and of course - who can forget that gorgeous "liz phair day" in August when Whitechocolatespaceegg finally hit the shelves..and even the last album was a glorious blue-sky day - me and my best friend sat on my patio and drank beer all day - burning in the sun - listened to EVERY SINGLE Liz Phair recording I owned - and we decided this is going to become a tradition. So if anything - or nothing else - I just hope liz keeps releasing stuff in the summer - because i think her music (especially her newer sound) is most complimented when played over a blue sky, a hot sun and freezing cold frosty drinks. and a joint at 7 p.m. anyone disagree - or associate her with winter? i just can't see it. Liz is so summer to me. bored at work on superbowl sunday, i hate football. and work. dan JASE - how the hell are you?? gimme an email - i had to ghost my computer (my friend taught me that term - i think it's fascinating) and i lost your personal email!) anyway - laters "People have got to defy the FCC. I've decided that I'm not going to care if radio won't play me." - - Liz Phair, 1993 "I'm totally trying to [get new fans]. It's a wall I really want to break through. I'd like to hear more radio people like me, you know?" - - Liz Phair, 2003 [demime 0.97c-p1 removed an attachment with a content-type header it could not parse.] [Content-Type: null; name="reply"] ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V8 #15 ***********************************
