The songs arent exactly in order, because, well...it was a weekend in Vegas. I barely remember how I got home. I had a darn good spotb&.front row, center, so, I was pretty darn happy regardless of how things would turn out. It started off with Charlotte Martin. I didn't know any of her songs, but, she seemed nice. She let some guy onstage to give her flowersb&one of those things I don't think Liz would ever do. Next came Katy Rose, who seemed pretty indifferent to things. They both did about 7-8 songs and did a meet and greet at the memorabilia booth. Oddly enough, they were both wearing jeans with dresses. I guess that's what a chick with attitude wears. The Cardigans were surprisingly decent ( I had only heard the few radio songs they had) and had a fair amount of energy. At one point, their singer (Nina, I think?) threw a dollar bill at me. Confused the hell out of me, and it floated down to the security guards down below. Im really hoping it was aimed at someone behind me, as I don't think I looked that destitute. Anyway, on to Lizb&.(and in order of albums, as, I don't remember which order she played them in: Flower (full band versionb&.this was the first song) Never Said Mesmerizing Glory Divorce Song Fuck and Run Supernova Polyester Bride Johnny Feelgood Shitloads of Money Extraordinary Why can't I Red Light fever. Rock me. Firewalker Love/Hate Bionic Eyes Favorite Underwear HWC (closing song) There were no acoustic songs, and almost no banter. She didn't talk too much to the crowd, which is unusual. Last time I saw her (in SF last year, on the first night of the tour) things were so loose, lots of interaction, and was very informal. This was veryb&planned, I guess. I know she had a time limit (there was another show at 11pm) so, she may have felt pressured to finish on time. The performance was great, she was pretty on the ball, vocally and musically, which was a first. She danced around a lot, and was wearing a midrift with her abs showing, and a very, short skirt, and a green thong. (hey, I was closeb& maybe too close.) I got to make eye contact with her a lot, which is a first. And definitely makes things more enjoyable. Anyway, that's my half ass on the fly review. Any thoughts? Anyone else see the show and care to share things? Cheers, Michael ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V7 #146 ************************************
