I had to rush back home and didn't have the opportunity to meet you and Jenny, Katie. I'm sorry! I'm glad you were able to meet Liz though. I wanted to stay, but something urgent came up at home and we rushed back. I guess I had better luck with the EPs. I went to the merchandise booth around 7:20 and asked about comeandgetit. There was a poster saying "Free EP with any purchase!" So, to cheat the system, so to speak, I purchased five buttons at $2.00 a piece and got an EP for each button purchased. I've promised two copies to fans not subscribed to the mailing list, but those who've requested a copy here, I have three sealed copies available. Just e-mail me off-list (onlysmg@tampabay.rr.com) and we'll coordinate arrangements. Hopefully this will save some of you some money and time at the upcoming shows! Liz also mentioned filming a video on Tuesday. She didn't specify what for, however. Maybe it was a live thing or maybe a new video for "Extraordinary." We shall soon find out. She also covered Steve Miller's "The Joker," before "Fuck and Run," in the encore. I pretty much expected she'd play for an hour and twenty minutes, but I really loved how she played Flower! She opened with that. I don't think she's changed her set list much. Uncle Alvarez is the best I've ever heard, even better than on the disc. I was upset she didn't play Hurricane Cindy cuz the audience had never heard of it. Grr, but I was also happy she didn't play it cuz I like the wcse version better. Instead, she played Stratford. As she introduced the band, the bassist started some song and the band ended up playing Steve Miller's The Joker. Totally awesome. She wore a pink skirt with an AC/DC shirt. Played a lot of the older stuff, she seemed happier playing those songs. I requested May Queen about five times, but no luck. Waited after the show with Jenny and Liz came out about 40 minutes after the show. I told her I flew up to Chicago five years ago to see her and it was nice that she came down to FL to play. :) About the EP....I was totally unprepared for the price. I had in mind of buying at least five or possibly more, but the price is $20. Sorry folks, I didn't get any. They sell women's shirts and autographed (I think) promo posters.
