Anyway, Extraordinary is taking off bigger than WCI right now. On AllAccess.com,for the week (in just two weeks officially out), it tops the Taking Off chart with 7 new station adds this week (93 new spins). Chicago tops with 42 spins, L.A. 21 (up from 10). It is also second to that obnoxious Outkast song in the Jump Chart. Anyway, I know some of you don't like the song, but I still dig it and can't get enough of it. To me, it's just a kick ass song and classic Liz if you take away the big sound that was needed to make Liz a success on the mainstream stations. Al __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? But in answer to your question, I find the "trash" line to be on a par with many of the other LP lyrics which someone once astutely described as "Liz Phair For Dummies"... that is, an ABC's version of Liz for people who get bewildered by opaque metaphors. It certainly is no "but I can't imagine it in better terms, than naked, half-awake about to shave and go to work," to name one fine example of classic Liz lyricism. All that being said, I'm pleased as punch that the new single is off to a good start. I want all good things to happen to the Liz I remember. - --Catherine > From: Al Madrid > Date: Mon, 15 Dec 2003 08:43:50 -0800 (PST) > To: support-system@smoe.org > Subject: [support-system] Extraordinary > > How many others out there think the line in > Extraordinary "I still take the trash out, does that > make me too normal for you" is one of those classic > Liz lines which seems so simple but in the context of > the song, it just says it all and hits the nail on the > head. > > Anyway, Extraordinary is taking off bigger than WCI > right now. Madonna - American Life 8. Fleetwood Mac - Say You Will I have no idea where to place the following: Liz Phair - self titled, enjoyed the EP more than the album. TaTu - 200km/h in the Wrong Lane, very catchy songs that could belong in the bubblegum category. The Beatles - Let It Be...Naked, yeah, I know, I'm a huge Beatles fan and have no idea where to place this. I love it, but there's major differences on two songs, which are better IMO. Not guilty in admitting that I *really* enjoyed my three Brady Bunch cds I got from eBay! Happy Holidays! Katie (); ) ===== ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "My love belongs to who can see it." Originally listed as an iTunes Music Store exclusive (it's not), the playlist for the second show merely says that it is "unreleased". Anybody have scoop? The 12/6 playlist is posted here -- http://www.kcrw.com/find/robothelpers/pl/031206.html -- but, unfortunately, neither show is archived (near as I can tell, that is): did anyone on the list hear the song? - -------- I only heard 4 new discs this year worthy of "Top" billing: 1.
