Liz couldn't have made Little Digger more real. I was married to a woman with a 2 year old child from a previous relationship. That song nails it...and it's recently become on of my favorite songs on the release. It blew me away when it came on. I couldn't believe it. Anyway, for any of you who've made references to the opening rif sounding like it has been ripped off of some (other artist) well, I've been wanting to respond that isn't that Liz' M.O.? She rips off a bunch of artists but makes it her own and cool sounding just like the opening to Extraordinary. That has become one of my all-time favorite Liz songs and I know she had more to do with the sound to it than we all think she has otherwise I wouldn't like it much. It just has so many cool Liz qualities to it. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Does anyone know for sure which is correct? The only information I could find online was an interview from ugo.com where Liz said, "'Jeremy Engle,' which is on the EP, that one really transformed. That started out a very small song with just my guitar. Then, we recorded it, and it became kind of a band jam, and then Walt Vincent did it, and it was kind of indie sounding, and then it went to Michael Penn and became kind of a beat-driven track." To me, that gives the impression that "Jeremy Engle" was written before Liz started collaborating with Clark. Didn't she first start writing with him around the same time Penn signed on to produce? I just find it interesting that one set of credits totally contradicts another. Speaking of the "Why Can't I?" single, I have an extra copy if anyone would like to trade it for a copy of the _Sounds of the Season_ compilation that contains Liz's version of "Winter Wonderland." As far as I know, the compilation is only available at Target stores, so I haven't been able to find a copy here in Canada.
