I'll be buying her the PG13 version (the one with "HWC" edited off) for Christmas. Does anyone know how Liz's other albums have been adapted for younger fans? A check on www.allmusic.com suggest that PG13 versions of other Liz albums exist for EIG and WCSE * For WCSE/PG13, I've heard it suggested that the only change is to the liner - one of the tracks appears as ****loads of Money. Is it an urban myth that this is the only change? * I've no idea what the changes might be to EIG - can anyone tell me? * Is there a PG13 version of Whip-smart? If so, what changes were made? * I imagine that a PG13 version of Juvenilia is impossible without castrating the entire EP I posed a similar question on alt.fan.*, but the answers weren't very helpful. I've just discovered this list and it looks more active, so hopefully someone can help. Is it an urban > myth that this is the only change? > Yes, only the the tracklisting has changed . . . even that particular song has no changes from the original. * I've no idea what the changes might be to EIG - can anyone tell me? I do not believe any pg-13 version of EIG exists. How fruitless would that be? Not just b/c of the constant sexual references but more importantly b/c of its themes. This is a very adult album and it would (hopefully) go over the head of even the most mature thirteen year old. And I'm not coming down on you Paul, but the very idea of chopping up mature works for the PG-13 crowd is just wrong. Even with the artists consent, it's mutating an album into a completely different form -- and is a very bizarre, sickening form of censorship. Ever try watching Blazing Saddles on network television? It's been done but doesn't make much sense . . . james === "I asked for neither, of course, because it occurred to me one day, reading a smuggled copy of de Sade, that even on the "outside" one never comes to terms with desire." -- Frederick Exley (A Fan's Notes) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 19 Nov 2003 22:57:03 -0500 (EST) From: Stephen Griffes Subject: [support-system] why can't i made top 40 of 2003 on vh1 it will be shown on 12/12 and probably every day after that for the rest of the season :P steve. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V6 #307 ************************************
