Interestingly, "Insanity" debuted at #5 on Billboard's new Hot Digital Tracks chart, which tabulates sales at iTunes, Rhapsody, MusicMatch, etc. But that's not terribly impressive; this chart is very young and small-potatoes. For radio airplay to REALLY turn the album around, it's going to have to cross over to other formats, especially top 40. At the other end of the spectrum, Modern Rock isn't playing her at all; PDs at alternative radio have probably concluded that the new album's too pop. I'm sorry if I left anyone out. You guys are DA BOMB: dignified, sassy, high-browed, relentless, and adorable. I want to marry each & every one of you. My faith in this mailing list is duly restored (and that was no small feat). Please keep it up. I promise to stay out of it. However: No one knows what the hell the star on Liz's Duo Sonic is about. Her ex-boyfriend gave it to her (I suspected it was a gift), so maybe he drew it. It's painted on. She's had it since her senior year of college. It almost died while on tour in 1999. It was indeed submerged in a lagoon during the "Never Said" shoot. It was manufactured in 1962, pre-CBS takeover. That's all I know, and believe me -- if I don't know it, *no one* knows it (and that's not necessarily a good thing). If "WCI" hasn't even charted on Billboard's Top 100, then let the indie label shopping begin. Assloads of $$$ have been spent on this album, and its lead single is nowhere near "Supernova"-type levels of chart success or listener/consumer recognition. This is a good thing, people! Don't be sad. It'll all work out, for Liz and the rest of the world. I just know it. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I have an mp3, that I downloaded last weekend with lyrics that go: "Tell me, I'm a liar, a liar". If this has not been circulated, let me know, because I thought it was. I'll post it later tonight on my site. The full lyrics are already there.
