"extraordinary" came on, and i found myself singing along w/o realizing it. plus, while it isn't the type of song that would have made me love liz from the get-go, it has more attitude and a more unique sound than "why can't i," and people i know would be more likely to check her out based on "extraordinary." and a lot of you rip on it, but i kinda like the "average everyday sane psycho supergoddess" part. really digging "shallow opportunities" and "jeremy engle," but i haven't been able to obtain "insanity"...did anyone ever make that available to the masses? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Jul 2003 15:07:41 +0000 From: "Katie Brown" Subject: Metro Tickets Hey all... None of the songs have surfaced yet and it seems that the soundtrack got shelved when the movie itself was a couple of years ago. It looks like the movie may finally show up on video later this year, but the theatrical release was scrapped. Since it's going straight to video, I doubt the soundtrack will be released. Probably the only way the songs will appear on an official release is if Liz uses them for b-sides or EP tracks. It should be possible, if you connect the audio outputs from your DVD player to the line-in inputs on your soundcard, record the songs as .wav files, then convert them to MP3s (or you could just burn the .wav files to CD-R and be able to listen to them on your stereo or car CD player as well). "Shallow..." is my favorite track on the EP... I think it needs fleshing out, but the hook where she sings "I'll wait right here..." just slays me. "Insanity" is my other favorite... I really hope that someone can make it available to PC people... it's worth it. One of the few times where I think the slick production is great. - --Catherine ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Jul 2003 17:14:39 -0500 From: Aaron Walker Subject: Tour Dates after Chicago I noticed a few dates on Ticketmaster that I hadn't seen mentioned on lizphair.com or in the list yet: 2003/08/25 Saint Andrews Hall Detroit MI 2003/08/26 Vogue Theatre Indianapolis IN 2003/08/28 First Ave Minneapolis MN Detroit and Indianapolis are on sale now, Minneapolis goes on sale on Saturday. - -- - -Aaron Walker ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V6 #183 ************************************
