I've also noticed that Liz tends to be more "Fuck you, indie kids!" and "I love Top 40!" in the mainstream mags, whereas in the specialty ones, she's generally more honest and forthcoming about Capitol records, her new songs, Chicago, etc. Check it out, folks, it's there on the pages you'll be reading. one friend of mine dismissed all this, saying Liz is just "fucking" with us; my girlfriend says Liz is being a shrewd businesswoman and applauds her tactfulness; and I say "I love Liz Phair!" It's pathetic, I know, I go back & forth constantly. I was telling my girlfriend today how much more I like Liz after reading Venus and Magnet, and she was like, "You change your mind about Liz Phair every week! I didn't even know you had been hating her again." The moral of the story is: don't listen to me. That said: KEN LEE, get thee to a Barnes & Noble (er, your "local newsstand") and purchase the aforementioned publications. Then, my good friend, transcribe, transcribe, transcribe! Scan, scan, scan! Peace, love, and Xbox, Emil __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Thing is, my local book stores are *late* with their shipments of new magazines, so it's taking me FOREVER to get them. Trust me, though, I will have a shitload of transcriptions and scans very shortly. (And you forgot to mention "Believer" magazine as well...) Oh, by the way, there's a Denver show report added to my site, in case anyone is interested. - -Ken kenmlee@ix.netcom.com MeSmErIzInG - AnOtHeR LiZ PhAiR WeBsItE http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Club/2471/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Jun 2003 22:00:04 EDT From: TitleTK@aol.com Subject: Re: June is 'magazine month' for liz phair Do we know anything more about the Kansas show? james ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V6 #142 ************************************
