Hi all, Someone was asking about Liz in the film "Seeing Other People"... She is indeed in that film, playing a yoga instructor. She has only one line though. - -Ken kenmlee@ix.netcom.com MeSmErIzInG - AnOtHeR LiZ PhAiR WeBsItE http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Club/2471/ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 May 2003 08:50:49 -0400 From: "Daaaaan Theman" Subject: Ouch! As much as I've defended Liz and the new album, this statement really pissed me off: Q: Are you worried about alienating some of your prior indie-ish fan base? Because even without hearing the album yet, the people on your fan sites seem to feel betrayed. A: It's appropriate that they feel that way. Because what I'm doing is leaving them to go seek other people. I think she could have phrased that a lot differently, that's just a retarded thing to say. And as much as I am routing for Liz to succeed, I still have yet to hear "Why Can't I?" on any New York City radio station. I just don't see her becoming an enormous star. Alienating her old fans is a horrible thing to do, because if this album bombs who is left? On an additional note, my friend from work who always makes fun of me for liking the new album (I play it at work everyday) recently went to Six Flags and said he heard "Favorite" there. That just made me kind of sad. - -Dan _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 May 2003 13:29:46 -0400 From: Charles M Subject: Cover art for the new seedee... ...has been posted here (look for the boldface text): http://mywebpages.comcast.net/discographer/liz/ Image courtesy of fellow Support System subscriber Derek McGeogh. But to be this blunt is just is a turn off period. Why Can't I is being played a bit by WPLJ in NYC. I've heard it, while it's very odd to hear Liz on such a big time station, the song does sound comfortable there. I suspecf this will be a hit, but I hope no one is thinking Alanis, I don't think it's that big.
