I can only hope for a little bird to help me out in the future I guess. I really appreciate everyone's individual reviews though - they are fairly assuring while not giving too much away. Its also nice to know that the album really IS coming out this time and not just a maybe that all of us will latch onto even though deep down we all know its bunk. Theres just so much anticip..... ...pation. As an aside, a little bird did happen to bring me a copy of the new Radiohead album that comes out around the same time as LP. I'm not a huge Radiohead fan by any means, but it seems a bit stale to me. Its good, but while listening to it I'm wondering if its just a bunch of outtakes from Kid A and Amnesiac. Its not (to my knowledge), but they just don't seem to have come very far in my opinion. I've only had a few listens though, so who knows what'll happen after a few more. Come to think of it, if anyone with a certain album would like to employ pigeons to act as birds between us, I'd be game. Just please don't make them FBI pigeons of course =). "Daaaaan Theman" - your review got me soooooo damn excited it's not even funny. at one point i was reading your "some more thoughts" review and i was like, contemplating NOT reading it just because i was worried it was gonna get me too excited and i would end up hating it. but hell - i know that's not gonna be the case. love your thoughts on it. very encouraging. my question though - is about Firewalker. how different is it from her live version? is it pretty much the same? i'm sooo hyped that this made it on the album...i've always been a firewalker-enthusiast. also - does she interpolate any incarnation of a girlysound song into any of the new songs? for some reason, when i read the title "friend of mine" i was like "hmmmm...that sounds awfully familiar in a 'girlysound' way..." but i couldn't put my finger on it. anything there at all? i'm also SOOOOO glad that someone (sorry i forget who) described the album as "summer". for me, liz albums have always been about summer. in my opinion, nothing beats a summer album or summer music. anyway..yeah..that's all. not much of a post, because i just kinda wanted to "comment" on the album, even though i really have nothing to say about it cuz i haven't heard it. good christ i'm jealous. i'm gonna have to pop in whitechocolatespaceegg now to semi-compensate my need to hear "recent liz". dan ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Apr 2003 17:22:46 -0600 From: "Orange Nish" Subject: Album Art I was wondering what the cover and CD design looked like -- or did the copies recieved by (damn lucky) insiders have plain cardboard cases and no CD art. _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V6 #78 ***********************************
