Hey all, I was just wondering what your favorites of Liz's are and if everyone here has pretty much been a fan since her start. What do you think's the best track on each album? My picks would be Divorce Song, Jealousy, and probably What Makes You Happy. Hard to choose. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Jan 2003 09:45:27 -0500 From: "Mike Gaughan" Subject: Re: official release date/ velvet rope thread Jase- I lurk both lists (this one and the velvet rope). I just signed back up for the Liz lists after some time away. I started to miss it right when she sent in the email update. Anyway, the rope has a liz thread, but mostly they've been posting the shop45 pictures and remembering why they had a crush on Liz in the 90's. Nobody seems to have heard any of the release, they seem more interested in her marital status. I love the idea of a subscription service for Liz stuff. Prince does one for $100/year and seems to work on some level- its not the way to sell millions of records, but it is a way to keep fans happy and have the artist make some money. Seems like a lot of good things are happening on the 20th's of certain months: June 21, fifth Potter book and I ain't ashamed to confess I'm looking forward to it! Also, April 26, graduation for me. *sigh* Nice to see some Liz discussions coming around again. Katie ();) ===== ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "My love belongs to who can see it." (I'm just guessing, a STP fan? ) 3rd Hi to KB in the Windy City. Or is it Ms.Brown from the Bar association? And as always big thanks to Jase from keeping this list going thru the years. I don't always agree w/your opinions but they always intelligent and thought out. And most of all I love your passion for music(as mine) and thank you for pointing out some excellent bands along the way. Amazing how 1,(2?) letters from Liz can turn that frown upside down in a hurry. As she said it's just music, not cancer. 1 note to Liz though. You might have a little more $ if you toured a wee bit more. There's money to be made there although it must be pretty tough since she has a youngin'. I'm behind so I didn't read her post until today. Which happens to be my birthday too. Best present I got this year, that's for sure. And Happy Birthday to Ruthie too, if she's still out there. The original toodles girl. Lastly at 45 I don't think Liz's lyrics are going to shock me too much at this point. ;-) After all my 16 year old was playing Little Kim yesterday. Makes Liz look like the Virgin Mary lyricly. Been to so many great concerts over the past year and w/some more Aimee Mann dates along with Sleater K, and now Liz poking over the horizen. I'm in hog heaven. Hello to everyone. Oh yeah Ken, tell Liz that she better play Florida this time for poor Katie. Bill in CT P.S. Jase I love the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs too. Saw them at this years Siren Fest. Back to back great concerts 2 years in a row. Coney Island, suffucating crowds, the heat and those porta potties suck though. ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V6 #10 ***********************************
