Records almost 100% universally come out on Tuesday. So in other words, either someone is royally pulling Ken's leg, or someone has her head up her ass. ; ) I just wanna wait to hear the album. derek ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jan 2003 02:37:00 -0500 From: Jase Subject: Re: Whee Derek wrote: >Still don't know how to tell y'allz or Liz this, but as someone has already >mentioned, May 22 is a Thursday. Of course, anything's possible, but if it is an imposter, he or she is a pretty darn convincing one. My thought is that if it is an imposter, I doubt they would have given permission for Ken to post the e-mail to the list and to his site. Without fail, they would have been found out before long, when either the real Liz or someone on her behalf spoke up about it. I'm guessing Liz likely just has her dates mixed up. April 22 is a Tuesday, so maybe she meant April instead of May. Or perhaps the release date is really May 20, which is a Tuesday. It seems quite feasible that the record will be out during one of those two months, if work on it is almost finished now. I just hope all of this news is for real, now that it's gotten my hopes back up. Jase "All hail Brody Armstrong, I say! For she will deliver us from the hands of all those vacuous corporate whores who have been faking it on our airwaves for far too long." - Shirley Manson (in Alternative Press' cover story on the Distillers) (Can we tell how much I want this band to break through?) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jan 2003 13:31:46 -0800 (PST) From: Craig King Subject: e-mail, Cherish, Jase, ect.... Wow, an actual email from Liz! I like what she wrote. It's good to see that she hasn't lost that feisty edge of hers, and hasn't "gone Hollywood" so-to-speak. Not that I ever really thought she did. But that email makes me wicked excited for the new album. I can't wait for the tour as well. It's been four years since I've seem Liz live. I just don't get the suppossed May 22nd release date. Albums usually never come out on a Thursday. Very strange. Oh well, May isn't that far away! Speaking of which, can any other of my fellow Lounge Ax-ers believe that in a few months we'll be coming up on the 4 year anniversary of that show? Amazing how time flies. Seems like just yesterday. Are there any Lounge Ax-ers still left on this list besides Jase? Speaking of Jase - I'd be glad to help out with the distribution of the of the new rarities CD's. I honestly don't have the time to organize it, but I would help out with it in any way I can. Let me know if you need my help. Oh, one more thing. I finally saw Cherish today, and it was actually alot better than I thought it would be. Pretty cool to see Liz in a movie. I thought she did a good job given the limitations of her role.
