The album is due out May 22nd, 2003. Mark it on your calendars. Songs on the album include "Extraordinary" and "Rock Me". And a cheap plug for my website (and thrill for me): Liz: "Oh, I'm just having the best time checking this site out. I love what you've done with it." The full details in my next post... But isn't that a Thursday? Don't new releases usually come out on Tuesdays. Do you think it might really be April 22 (which is a Tuesday)? Either way, this is good news. The album must be almost finished for them to have worked out a release date for it. I'm kind of hoping it will be April instead of May. One less month of waiting, plus the first single and video are usually out about a month in advance of the album, which means we could be hearing new Liz in as little as two months. I've been feeling greatly reassured about the album ever since mtv.com reported that Liz was producing a few of the songs on her own. To be honest, I trust her instincts more than those of some of the writers and producers she's been working with. >Songs on the album include "Extraordinary" and "Rock Me". Is there any word if any of the songs we're already familiar with ("Firewalker," "Don't Apologize," "Bouncers' Conversation," "Love/Hate Transmission") might be on there, or if any new versions of Girly Sound songs will be? Or is the album going to be made up of all new songs? The live recordings of "Love/Hate Transmission" aren't the greatest quality, but it seemed like it had a good hook. It might make for a great single. >And a cheap plug for my website (and thrill for me): > >Liz: "Oh, I'm just having the best time checking this >site out. I love what you've done with it." Ken, I'm just glad Liz has been to your site and likes what you've done, after all the work you've put into it. The honor is well deserved. I guess I must be more excited about the new album that I'd thought -- reading your post has been one of those "Hot damn!" moments for me (a little Lounge Ax reference for those who were there that night). I'm feeling pretty psyched. Their sound (or what they sounded like live) were more up tempo and seem like they will fit in a little better with a more mainstream sound, like Take A Look.
