Bear in mind that writing to a minor e- mail digest will not keep her from shutting you out of her music. Me, I propose someone slides a bong through her mail slot. >> No, No . . . I actually meant that in more figurative manner. I mean, I'm not just going to say "I accept this because it's Liz." I hope she does whatever she wants, really. But it doesn't mean that I'm going to stop analyizing and critiqueing. Why even belong to a list like this if not to get a little overly-passionte sometimes? I think music is pretty serious stuff. Dan said >>sign of our times - but i feel your pain. although i think there will always be an alternative - and i don't think the alternative will ever weaken - it will only get stronger the more underground it goes - the sad thing is, i think there is a new generation of music lovers who are re-designing what it means to be a "fan" - and giving the whole scene a face lift.<< Yes, you are right about there always being an alternative, I just don't think that there is a community like there used to be. Do the D. Boon's and Ian Mckay's of the music community still exist? I read an article where Avrile Lavine was dissing Brittany Spears and I was like . . . what gives her the right to do that? She goes back to her comfy hotel room at night just like Brittany, while The Breeders still sleep in thier van. Music used to be about so much more than just "I listen to this as opposed to that." Music was truly a catalyst for for people to attach their emotions to. I don't know . . . back to work . . . james ------------------------------ End of support-system-digest V5 #265 ************************************
